Rat race.
"Rat Race is a term used to describe a frustrating, hard-to-break financial lifestyle. It is a lifestyle that is lived by countless people, oblivious to the very nature of it, to a degree that even when called upon, vehemently deny it.
To summarize the Rat Race, It involves subjecting one's self to a time-consuming job, saddling one's self with heavy mortgages/rents, bills, children, and liabilities, forcing the individual to continue busting his or her ass at that same job. The illusion that working at the same job will be better bars off alternatives.
It is also a misconception that getting more money will solve financial distress, but those who subject themselves most voluntarily to the race, just spend more and more, digging themselves the same hole. "I'm not interested in money." They will say. If they aren't, then why are they thanklessly toiling their lives away and constantly bitching about their financial scarcity?
It involves a variable combonation of self-induced fear of poorness, a lack of choice, horrible spending habits, or the inability to adapt to the new changes in the work force taking place during the time of this definition entry.
There exists many options for financial gain and exit of the rat race. Remember, the definition of insanity also entails doing the same thing over and over again, in an attempt to make things change.
~ My father is well educated and works a decent paying job, but gets taxed through the nose as he busts his ass for 60 hours a week. He claims to not like money, but his hairs have gone from financial stress. He's forever stuck in the rat race.
~ My mother married a shitty man and had three kids, myself included. She let the man handle all of the expenses, and eventually she got dropped cold turkey. While trying to fight for child support, she had no choice but to enter the rat race at her older age. We did too, when we started becoming adults."

Henry, who was just 16 at the time, became a witness to the crime.
We Need to Talk About Dad meets the Johnsons as they reunite for Christmas, fulfilling the dreams of the youngest son Felix who - until now - has been sheltered from the events of that day.
Henry's need to confront what happened sees each of them come face to face with the mystery of the attack, and the impact it has had on their lives.

Как ясен август, нежный и спокойный,

Буддизм. Четыре Благородные Истины.
Первая Благородная Истина о страдании или беспокойной неудовлетворенности.
- Всякое существование есть страдание.
- Мир есть страдание. Болезнь, старость и смерть - удел всех существ.
- Разлука с тем, кто нам дорог; душевные муки.
Вторая Благородная Истина о причине.
- Причина неудовлетворённости состоит в жажде.
- Удовлетворение жажды очень скоротечно и через короткое время приводит к появлению новой жажды.
- Таким образом получается замкнутый цикл по удовлетворению желаний.
- Чем больше желаний не могут быть удовлетворены, тем больше растет карма.
- «Карма есть причина страданий и неудовлетворённости жизнью».
Третья Благородная Истина о прекращении:
- Освобождение с отдалением от той самой жажды.
- Устранение привязанности, ненависти, зависти и нетерпимости- это и есть истина о состоянии за пределами «страдания».
- Радоваться тому, что имеешь, но не зависеть от обладания, не быть к нему привязанным, отпускать с миром то, что уходит.
- Печаль и страдания - не одно и то же. Мы не можем не печалиться теряя близких.
Четвёртая Благородная Истина о пути:
Срединный путь, или Восьмеричный Путь -состоит из восьми правил и называется поэтому «Благородным Восьмеричным Путём».
Срединный путь- значит держать золотую середину
- между физическим и духовным миром,
- между строгим аскетством и разнузданностью;
- значит не впадать в крайности.
Благородный восьмеричный путь:
Мудрость:
- правильные взгляды,
- правильное намерение,
Нравственность:
- правильная речь,
- правильные действия,
- правильный образ жизни,
Сосредоточение:
- правильное усилие,
- правильная внимательность,
- правильное сосредоточение…
Все элементы Пути начинаются со слова «правильный», которое означает «идеальный» или «совершенный».
Все остальное учение буддизма направлено на то, чтобы объяснить этот путь и помочь пройти по нему.

Carlos Santana and Dave Matthews "Love of My Life," from Supernatural.
SANTANA: One of my very favorite classical works is Symphony No. 3 in F major, Op.90, the third movement, 'Poco Allegretto,' by Johannes Brahms. I heard this glorious piece of music shortly after my dear father passed away, and I was haunted by it until I was able to identify and locate the original song. It became the inspiration for "Love of My Life, " a beautiful collaboration between me and Dave Matthews for the 'Supernatural' album. I am also inspired and moved by 'Concierto de Aranjuez,' an early 20th-century work for orchestra and guitar by Joaquin Rodrigo. It is a thrill to sometimes play it at a Santana concert, and I also love Miles Davis' visionary rendering of it on 'Sketches of Spain'."

Про то, что бесит.
Бесит-59.
Гладить рубашки! Это жопа какая-то! Гладишь в одном месте - в другом мнётся. Скрепя зубы догладишь, наденешь, к зеркалу подойдёшь... Бля-а-а-ать! Вот тут мятое. вот тут тоже. И тут вот. И внова снимаешь и снова включаешь утюг, гладишь. И всё равно недогладишь в итоге. Я так утюг в стену швырнул. Это невыносимо! Не могу, бесит!
Бесит-68.
Надевать рулон туалетной бумаги на устройство. Оно такое самодельное, из жёсткой проволоки. И купить бы новое, но не вижу или забываю. А вот кончается рулон и надо вставлять новый. Это как с пододеяльником. Это сука бесит.
Бесит-70.
Когда, идя по улице, разговариваешь по телефону. Тихо всё, нормально говорится. И ту машина какая-нибудь мимо едет. Или того хуже, трактор. И тарахтит, блять! И уже совсем не тихо и совсем не слышно! Хочется расхуярить телефон, машину и улицу! Так сильно бесит.
Бесить не бесит...но...
...Ну вот не откликается мое сердце...
- на открытки присланые мне через "Яндекс. Открытки"...и прочие серверы...простите меня все!
Сразу встают перед глазами расписные коврики...или кошечки в рамках...
И вообще напрягает...надо идти на сайт...а русские сайты все с порнухой или вообще пытаются украсть твой адрес...и слать тебе спам...
Ну не люблю!

Ничего не проси, ничего не жди и принимай все спокойно.
Я так рассуждаю:
«Что люди обо мне говорят или думают, меня не касается. Я такой, какой есть, и делаю то, что делаю, просто ради забавы — вот как устроена эта игра. Чудесная игра жизни на ее собственном поле. Здесь нечего выигрывать и нечего терять, здесь не надо ничего доказывать. Не надо выворачиваться наизнанку — чего ради? Потому что я по сути своей никто и всегда был никем».
Это пришло ко мне лет десять назад во время глубокой депрессии, когда я сидел в одном римском отеле.
Я повторял это про себя как заклинание.
И с тех пор в моей жизни произошло много удивительных событий."

'Эта история произошла в Ленинграде, на одной из улиц, в одном из домов.
Началась она задолго до этих пяти вечеров и кончится еще нескоро.
Зима, по вечерам валит снег. Он волнует сердце воспоминаниями о школьных каникулах, о встречах в парадном, о прошлых зимах...
Т а м а р а. Что ты, обо мне и не думай, я тут хорошо жила. У меня много было счастья в жизни, дай бог каждому. И потом, я вообще никогда не падаю духом. И потом, теперь у нас будет все иначе, все... Завтра воскресенье, можно поехать на озеро Красавица. Там очень хорошо. Я еще там не была, но говорят... И в Павловске очень красиво... Я тоже не была, но говорят... (То ли радуясь, то ли страшась за свое счастье.) Ой, только бы войны не было!..'
В Москве на 76-м году жизни скончалась выдающаяся актриса театра и кино Людмила Гурченко.

What a friend really is...
A friend is somebody who says the same things to your face that they would say if you're not in the room.
By the way, you don't have to necessarily always enjoy being with your friends. It's possible to have friends that drive you out of your mind. Don't you have friends that you've had since you were a little kid? And you constantly have to explain to people who're just meeting him: "I've known him since fifth grade. He really is a good guy. Trust me. Really — he's got a heart as big as Montana."
